Your MPF deserves more than a quick glance once a year
Structured courses for professionals in their 40s who want to understand their Mandatory Provident Fund, make sense of their fund choices, and plan with their own retirement in mind — not someone else's.
Three Programmes, One Clear Path
Each course is self-contained. You can start with the introduction or join at the level that matches where you are right now.

What You Gain From Taking Time With This
Most mid-career professionals have never been taught how MPF works. These courses fill that gap in a measured, unstuffy way.
Clarity on What You Actually Hold
MPF statements can be opaque. You learn to read them, understand fund categories, and know what questions to ask.
Informed Fund Choices
No product is ever recommended. Instead, you develop the framework to evaluate fund options for yourself, relative to your own time horizon.
Understanding of Fees Over Time
Fee drag compounds just as returns do. You learn to spot what you are paying and what that costs you over a ten or twenty year horizon.
A Handle on Scattered Accounts
Many professionals in their 40s have MPF balances sitting with previous employers. You learn how to locate them and weigh the case for consolidating.
A Longer View of Withdrawal
Retirement is not a single event. The senior course covers phased withdrawal approaches and how MPF interacts with other savings and property you may hold.
A Written Plan of Your Own
The senior programme culminates in a personal plan document with facilitator review — a considered record you can return to and update over the years.
Not sure which course suits you right now?
Send us a brief message. We will take a few minutes to understand where you are and point you toward whichever programme fits. No obligation, no sales call — just a considered reply.
Questions People Ask Before Enrolling
If something isn't answered here, you are welcome to write to us directly.
Do I need any financial background to join the introductory course?
No prior financial knowledge is expected. The Foundations course is written specifically for people who have been paying into MPF for years without much understanding of what is happening with that money. The pace is deliberate and explanatory throughout.
Will the course tell me which funds to choose?
No. Bauhinia Ledger does not make product recommendations or give regulated financial advice. What we do is give you the understanding and framework to evaluate options for yourself. Some participants find they are already in a sensible position; others decide to make changes. The decision belongs to you.
How is the course delivered?
Course materials are delivered online and can be worked through at your own pace within each weekly module. Where group calls are included (in the Consolidation Workshop and Lifetime Programme), these are scheduled in advance to suit Hong Kong working hours. Video recordings of walk-throughs are available to revisit at any time.
I have MPF accounts from several old jobs. Can the courses help with that?
Yes. This is one of the main reasons people come to us. The Foundations course includes a worksheet for recording and tracking accounts from previous employers. The Consolidation Workshop then takes you through the Employee Choice Arrangement and the considerations around bringing those accounts together.
What is the refund policy?
We offer a full refund within seven days of enrolment, provided you have not yet accessed the week two materials. After that point, a partial credit may be available at our discretion. Full details are in the terms and conditions.
Is the content specific to Hong Kong?
Yes. All three programmes are written around the Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Fund system, the Employee Choice Arrangement, and the regulatory context that applies here. The content is not relevant to pension systems in other jurisdictions.
